I love Katy Trail Ice House Outpost! The beer is extra cold & the food is fresh! Everything I've had there I'm blown away. I really struggle to decide what to get because it's all so good, even the salad. The fries are a must! The one downside of the menu is they need more dessert options. Our service has always been good & if we can't find a table outside but find one later they've been very accommodating to us moving. I can't wait to see what everything looks like once they're done with the renovation! If you go on a game day, be patient & flexible. It's a great place to enjoy good company, good food & good beer! Can't go wrong coming here!

While we've enjoyed drinks outside at the original Katy Trail Ice House, this was our first time at the Outpost and trying their food. We found it to be a great experience. My husband and I ordered and shared several things to try a variety of items. We started with a cup of the venison chili. It had great flavor and we loved how it was served with Fritos. We then enjoyed the 3 Meat Combo Plate and selected the Chopped Wagyu Brisket, Sliced Turkey and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. Let's just say there wasn't anything leftover to take home as we enjoyed it all. We were struggling to pick a favorite out of everything we ordered. The meat was tender and the turkey had great flavor. I found I didn't want or need to use the provided BBQ sauce as I was enjoying the meat on its own. The Sausage had great flavor and didn't pack too much heat for me. I really liked the chopped brisket vs. sliced. The platter came with coleslaw and beans. We found the chopped brisket in the beans was great together and eating with a spoon! We loved the coleslaw. It had a creamy look to the dressing, yet with a tang of vinegar to give it great flavor. We sat outside on a sunny 80 degree day with no humidity. There was good shade and they have fans with misters when it is hot and heaters when it is cooler. You'll find TVs all around and there was plenty of football to take in. They have an indoor seating area as well and found on a nice day, we all wanted to be outside. They are currently adding on to their outdoor seating area so there will be more room for us to enjoy for future visits! Service was great and it appeared to be a team concept working our area, taking orders, checking in on us and running food. It was efficient.

I'm a regular at KT Outpost for a reason - the service is always great, the margaritas are always frozen perfection, and the cheese fries are (usually) always cheesy goodness. First things first, drinks are expensive. Don't be tricked - you can get a smaller size of the margarita (small and medium; large is their go to size when you order) and maybe even beer. I think a large margarita is now $18 so, there's that. When it comes to the food, it's typically pretty good. The cheese fries are amazing and MASSIVE (even with four people eating these as an appetizer, I have yet to finish the dish) and only once were they undercooked. My husband used to get the BBQ (sausage and ribs) but the quality has gone down a bit do he has since branched out. Note - the jalapeño cheddar sausage is SPICY. You've been warned. I'm a fan of the Jr Cheeseburger (not just for kids!) as it's the perfect size for little old me. I'm not a big multi-patty fan so this fits the bill. The tots are nice and crunchy on the outside but soft inside, the coney dog is good as-is the market fajita salad. Basically, the food is good but won't be earning a Michelin star anytime soon. It's a great place to watch a game or sit on the patio when the weather is nice. Even when it's hot, they have ample fans and when it's cold, heaters and blankets. A fun place to hang out with friends or grab a quick bite.

We wanted a place for a snack and to wind down. This place has a really cool vibe once you actually find the entry. They are doing renovations which look like will make the place even better. The venison chili was excellent. Seriously so good. And no beans, which is awesome!! The chili comes with fritos which was a nice surprise. The loaded fries were disappointing. The amount of toppings was very generous. So they looked promising. Unfortunately the fries were soggy and tasted like old grease.

Loved our food here. We got queso for the table, which came with brisket, guac, sour cream, salsa (maybe more that I'm forgetting?). The queso itself was decent, but the toppings made it a great appetizer for the table. Just wish we'd had access to spoons to share everything out to our plates, because no one wants the four year old double-dipping. I got the Mushroom Swiss Avocado burger with pepperjack instead of swiss and charro beans as a side. Super filling and delicious. Definitely more of a smashburger style taste. I love all burgers, so I wasn't complaining. Loved it and will be back for it. Just wish the menus hadn't been sticky and they'd had some spoons instead of just forks on the table. We did enjoy the nice shady patio.

Awesome place after work or just hang out to watch the games on the road sound on! Great food and the crowd are friendly which includes the service staff and bartender. They do have vegan choices. Will definitely come back to the next game! #let'sgoMavs.
